About Us

Our Story:

Founded in 2017 by Jeremy Justice, Monolith Visuals began with a clear focus: to deliver fast, efficient, and cost-effective imagery for clients. Drawing on his previous industry experience and professional network, Jeremy secured a long-term service contract with Aldi UK. Since then, the studio has supported more than 500 projects nationwide, producing over 1,000 images to aid planning, marketing, and development.

The studio grew further when Oliver Justice and Ru Pawluk joined the team. Oliver brought his extensive architectural background, shaping Monolith’s approach to meet the specific needs of architects through refined styles and targeted imagery types. Ru added expertise in advanced modelling and new software adoption, elevating the visual quality and technical depth of every project. With the arrival of Jarod Taylor, the studio expanded its creative scope again, introducing stronger storytelling, richer narratives, and further advancements in software to push quality even higher.

Looking ahead, Monolith Visuals is embracing the power of AI to set new standards in architectural imagery. By leveraging emerging tools, the studio is streamlining workflows, enhancing quality, and creating more impactful visuals. Alongside this, we are developing new products to support early-stage marketing for architectural practices and training bespoke AI models to refresh and re-imagine earlier projects, ensuring our clients continue to benefit from the most innovative solutions available.

The Team:

  • Ru Pawluk
    CGI Studio Director
    BA (Hons) Architecture

Ru leads the CGI side of Monolith Visuals, combining technical precision with creative storytelling to produce compelling architectural and product visualisations. A graduate of Oxford Brookes University, his career spans architectural design, advanced 3D printing, and freelance visualisation, giving him a unique perspective on how digital and physical design intersect.

Alongside client work, Ru drives innovation within the studio, developing workflows that push visual quality while streamlining delivery. His entrepreneurial background — including launching a cast basins brand and creating bespoke furniture designs — reflects his passion for sustainable, material-driven design.

As CGI Studio Director, Ru’s blend of creativity, technical expertise, and entrepreneurial energy helps ensure that Monolith Visuals delivers visuals that not only communicate design but also elevate it.

  • CGI Artist
    B.EnvD Environmental Design

Jarod joined Monolith Visuals in 2022 and plays a key role in bringing projects to life through detailed 3D models and visualisations. With a background in Environmental Design, he approaches visualisation with a strong grounding in architecture, sustainability, and how the built environment interacts with natural systems.

His ability to integrate ecological thinking with technical skill in CAD and visualisation software ensures that the studio’s outputs are not only visually striking but also informed by a wider design sensitivity. As part of the CGI team, Jarod supports both architectural and product-focused projects, helping clients see and understand their designs in a clear, engaging way.

  • Design Studio Director
BA (Hons) Architecture, MArch (Hons) Architecture, PGDip.Arch, ARB, RIBA

Oliver brings over a decade of architectural training and practice to Monolith Visuals. With experience at award-winning firms including Prewett Bizley Architects and Ferguson Mann Architects, he has worked on everything from pioneering low-energy retrofit projects to nationally recognised urban design and conservation schemes.

As Design Studio Director, Oliver oversees the creative direction of Monolith Visuals. His role centres on maintaining strong professional relationships, ensuring design quality, and guiding the integration of architectural insight into the studio’s visualisation work. A registered architect and RIBA member, Oliver’s background ensures that every project is underpinned by a deep understanding of design integrity and professional standards.

Our difference:

  • We have delivered visuals for hundreds of clients over the last 5 years with the same level of professionalism, competence and design experience as our architectural design practice does.

We are always a phone call away because Oliver Justice manages client relationships, design reviews and debriefs directly, ensuring you feel looked after as our valued client.

  • Right away! Pick up the phone and let Oliver Justice guide you through the streamlined process, or book in a VC for a more in-depth enquiry or briefing meeting. We will reserve the workload for you as soon as possible. We can usually make a start within 3-5 working days.

Costs:

  • We understand that everyone has different requirements, which is why our pricing system is structured into three tiers, allowing you to calibrate the cost according to your budget.

  • No, we do not. We never have and never will use cheap overseas labour. There are so many practical and ethical issues with that approach, and it goes against our ethos.

We only work with architecturally trained designers who work in both the visual and design side. Although this is an unusual approach, we find that the level of technical and practical design knowledge of this mix of workload ensures our clients get the best experience and results.

We have a strict policy against unpaid overtime and pay our staff and contractors over the industry standard to ensure they are rewarded for the hard work they put in.

  • No, they are surprisingly reasonable given our methodology. The immersive panoramas are often relatively straightforward, as most work is in the creation of the model. We charge for our time, and not for the type of deliverable content, to ensures great value and flexibility for our clients at all stages.

  • At Monolith Visuals, we value relationships over one-off transactions. Our goal is to provide you with excellent value for your money. By streamlining our processes, we ensure that everyone benefits from the cost efficiencies.

Time frames:

  • This depends on the size of the project, information provided and design stage.

For example, if you have a model and a resolved design, we can get the first high level image over to you within 1-2 working days. Assuming a fast feedback loop, you could have it all wrapped up within 5 working days.

If you do not have a model but do have planning drawings and a resolved design, we can get the first high level image over to you within 3-4 days, and assuming a fast feedback loop you could have it all wrapped up within 7 working days.

If you only have a sketch or description, you will need some concept design work from our design team. This is a longer process, but we can get the first high level image over to you within 10-14 days and assuming a fast feedback loop you could have it all wrapped up within 14-21 working days

General:

  • I have entrepreneurial bones, coming from a family of business owners. The daily pressures and constraints of running a successful enterprise are second nature to me. I delight in successes, with great satisfaction when a plan comes to life. Spotting opportunities and how to problem-solve is one of my strengths. It’s intrinsic to architecture design, but also is what led me to making Monolith Visuals a source of excellence. I have a strong belief in efficiency, accuracy, combined with a love of beautifully simple aesthetics. Too many visuals are costly, or simply not accurate enough to be of use. I wanted to offer a service that I believe is high quality yet reasonable.

Our service creates beautiful visuals, producing what you need at speed, and to brief. Good quality client service is essential, and I’m happy to say we have a lot of repeat business

  • A great visual not only accurately represents your intent for the project, but also enhances it. It brings your vision to life to your client or team, to help it get to the next level.

    The four pillars to look out for in a good visual are;

    1. Composition

    2. Light

    3. Materiality

    4. Atmosphere

‘Atmosphere’ is the most powerful, and hardest to achieve. It’s what truly communicates what your project is about in a very human way, with immediacy.

Photorealism can achieve composition, light and materiality easily, however it is the ‘atmosphere’ that turns an OK image into a brilliant image, turning a “I see what you mean” into “Excellent, let’s do it”. It gives confidence through visual understanding.

Monolith Visuals are specialists in creating atmosphere in visuals, I am happy to say. This is due to our combination of technical ability and the artistic edge of being architects. We understand how to best communicate 3D built structures to humans. Our care in building effective relationships with our clients also helps us to understand quickly what you want to achieve, without further back and forth to design teams. This saves you valuable time, wrapped up in great client service.

  • In a word, yes. The adage ‘a picture speaks a thousand words’ remains true. There are various layers to this, the simplest being an accurate reflection of your idea.

Good visuals take 2D plans from diagrams and turn them into tangible entities, projects your team can get behind. The benefits are great, the good quality visual removes ambiguity across design, construction, or client teams. This saves you time and money, reducing costly mistakes or miscommunication.

A great visual will increase confidence in the project. This could be the difference to secure more funding, or be pivotal to progress to the next stage of development.

  • At Monolith we work across the spectrum of visuals, from a static CGI to an immersive video or virtual reality experience. This can truly bring people along the journey with you.

We can convey the intent of a wildly ambitious scheme, without enormous up-front investment. We are skilled at grabbing peoples’ attention to form an imagined experience beyond the image. We use touch points of memory through our careful creation of atmosphere.

We can guide the narrative that suits your needs, and really create magic. A beautiful visual takes you straight to the heart of the experience, adding intrigue and feeling. It’s those intangible qualities that we know how to use, that can make the difference.

  • At its core, being an architect demands professionalism, competence, and design experience. Working with Monolith Visuals you can be assured to benefit from the level of competency provided by architectural training and ongoing practical real world experience of our team. We hold our visuals to the same level of scrutiny as our design projects. All design and CGI projects adhere to the code of conduct set by both the ARB and RIBA.

Our design experience is what you will notice. An Architect’s 8-10 years of intense education primarily focuses on design. However, the often more powerful secondary training is the representation of ideas. An architect’s design is defined, for better or worse, by their ability to convey the ideas to their audience. All visuals created at Monolith Visuals have the benefit of the lessons learnt both in academia and ongoing practice in how to prepare and present our design projects.

Our focus is your project and not the technology. We employ many different software and hardware combinations to achieve results, but really it’s about the focus on your intent for the image and how it will serve the project’s journey to realisation that makes Monolith Visuals different.
